Organizations¶
What is an Organization¶
Organizations are shared accounts where businesses and open-source projects can collaborate across many projects at once, with sophisticated security and administrative features. They are what cluster and manage repositories.
Gaining Access to Organizations¶
Many GitHub organizations are publicly available through their URL, but from there, only public repositories can be viewed. In order to gain access to a GitHub Organization's private repositories, you'll need to be invited by an administrator, and who that is varies depending on the organization. Try navigating to the organization you'd like to access (FRB, SPS, Experiment, etc.) and look for the "People", "Followers", or contact section as shown below. Additionally, you can ask around in the CHIME Slack channels.
Navigating to my Organizations¶
You can find your organizations by clicking your profile in the top-right, and then finding the Organizations section, along with the other code-tracker sections such as Repositories and Projects.
